Early August, Jun.-Prof. René Westerholt spent two weeks as a guest at the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Hong Kong. The host was Dr Guibo Sun, head of the Urban Analytics and Interventions Research Lab (uLab). One aim of the visit was to further develop a joint paper on the topic of tactical urbanism. In addition, René Westerholt gave a public lecture on methodological aspects of spatial statistical analyses of everyday geographies as part of the NURSS series (New Urban Researchers' Seminar Series) and held personal consultations with a large number of doctoral and postdoctoral students for professional and career-oriented advice. The research stay also served to further strengthen relations between RAM and the Urban Analytics and Interventions Research Lab. Both institutions have maintained an intensive exchange over the past few years, which has led in particular to the realisation of a joint DAAD research project including research visits to Dortmund and Hong Kong.
