We congratulate Víctor Cobs-Muñoz on winning a 2024 TU Dortmund Teaching Award
The Summer School for Sustainability, developed as part of TU Dortmund University’s studium oecologicum sustainability certificate, has been honoured with the 2024 Teaching Award in Category 2. The summer school was a collaborative effort involving members of our RAM Lab, the Sustainability Office (NHB), and the Institute of Psychology. This award recognises outstanding courses with up to 60 participants, emphasising innovative, interactive, and interdisciplinary teaching approaches.
The course offered students a hands-on learning experience, connecting global frameworks like the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and IPCC findings to sustainability challenges at TU Dortmund University (read more). A highlight was the Sustain2030 simulation game, which immersed participants in political negotiations, fostering collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills (learn more).
The award was presented during the university’s Annual Academic Celebration 2024, an event to celebrate the achievements of the university members in the past year, not only in a purely academic sense, but also in terms of civil courage (learn more).
